PASS Gadget Configuration
Get Instant Payment Notification (IPN) from PayPal™ on Your PASS Gadget!

Setting up the PASS Gadget to receive IPN from your PayPal merchant account is easy.

To get started simply follow the steps below. You must have a PayPal Merchant Account to receive IPN messages from PayPal in the PASS Gadget.

  1. Log in to your PayPal account and, using the PayPal main menu, click on the "Profile" tab under the "My Account" tab. Under the "Selling Preferences" header click the "Instant Payment Notification Preferences" link.
  2. Click the "Edit" button then check the appropriate box to enable Instant Payment Notification.
    In the Notification URL field, provide the URL noted below.

    https://ipn.messaging.ippaymentsframework.com

  3. Click the "Save" button to save your changes. You may now Log Out of your PayPal account.
  4. To get started configuring the Sales Ticker, simply mouse over the PASS Gadget on the desktop until the small, wrench-shaped configuration icon on the right side of the PASS Gadget appears.

    Click on this icon to open the PASS Gadget configuration screen (see below).

  5. To have the PASS Gadget open and appear on your desktop when you receive a payment check "Automatically open window when a new message is received"
  6. Be sure the PASS Messaging URL shown matches the one you entered in your PayPal account and click the "Completed Step 1" button.
  7. Enter your PayPal merchant email address
  8. Click "Subscribe" - You will receive an email containing your Sales Ticker passcode
  9. Enter your Sales Ticker passcode
  10. Select the maximum number of messages to display. The number you select is the number of the most recent messages received that will be displayed
  11. Click "Start Ticker" to begin receiving IPN messages

New to Windows Vista?
Follow the Steps Below to Get the PASS Gadget Into the Windows Vista Sidebar

  1. Download the PASS Gadget from the Microsoft Live Gallery
  2. Open the Gadget Gallery folder from the Start menu and navigate to:
    Start > Program Files > Accessories > Windows Sidebar.
  3. Drag the PASS Gadget to the right side of your screen.
  4. If the Windows Sidebar is already open, simply click the pluss symbol (+) at the top of the sidebar to open the Gadget Gallery folder. Then, double-click the PASS Gadget icon or drag it to the Windows Sidebar.

Now you're ready to start using the sidebar!
